I don't think they are a playoff team by any means, but thier defense looks much better than last year, and Favre is throwing better than he has in years.

OK I got you, the way I see it: last year they were 8-8. An "improvement" would mean more wins and most likely a wild card in that case. Their defense looks fierce but the offense in camp had some issues with false start penalties and drops.
But you're saying a general improvement, not necessarily "going to playoffs" improvement. I still say Schiavo turns in 300+ yards and two running touchdowns against Green Bay, but then again I may be a little biased. Go Bears!!!!

I also think Green Bay will be a little better. Nevertheless, the Bears should have the division title.
