Argh.
Knew there would be weeks like this. Of the more recent years this has to be one of the most turbulent seasons I can remember.
My thoughts on the Bears: they didn't win, they didn't deserve to win. They were solidly beat for the majority of the game and even despite the encouraging comeback, they were not the better team. Quick slants will keep this D on its heels all afternoon.
In any case, good afternoon of football.
And now the Browns take one on the Giants.
The season is officially fucked up. Who knows? Maybe it will be Miami and Arizona in the Super Bowl!
And at the trade deadline the Boys acquire Detroit's Roy Williams for first, third, and sixth round picks. Detroit immediately uses the picks on three wide receivers, two of which immediately bust.
Actually I heard that its first, third and sixth draft picks in the 2008 draft. Detroit signs the papers, says wait, this says 2008, that was in spring, you can't do that. Jerry Jones laughs and throws down the pen.
"Good luck with those picks, suckers!"
Yes, I believe it is 1st, 3rd, and 6th draft picks. This makes the Cowboys the only team in the league with two active Roy Williams on the roster. Unfortunately, the new Roy Williams will have to play at least the next 4 games with Brad Johnson as the QB.
